Semester 2 Texture Photographs

  1. I really like the last picture and how there is a short depth of field. The tops of the bottles are so crisp while as you look further down, the bottle becomes less and less in focus. I also really like how it isn't just a picture of two bottles, but how the one on the right is cut off. I definitely find this picture interesting.

  2. I found the second picture from the top to be very good and interesting because of the light hitting the needles and the exposure in the darkroom created even stronger contrasts between light and dark. These sharp lines give the picture a sense of touch and is more effective because it is zoomed in closer to the object photographed.

  6. I like the picture of the stacks of wood. It emphasizes the spirit of hardwork and manpower. I think this photo works well b/c it is in black and white instead of color. The idea of this photo is genius.

  10. i like the fifth picture of the flowers. i think that the lighting is pretty good and i like how the focus is on the flowers and you can't tell what's in the background because it's completely out of focus.

  13. I like the last picture of the bottles. It's simple yet really cool. This picture has a short depth of feild and I like the way the camera is focused on the top of the bottles instead of the whole thing. It also has really good positive and negative space.
